I don’t know about you guys, but we both grew up with the Muppets. Watching the antics of those crazy creatures, it was easy to forget that they were puppets - they were so real and fantastic. So when Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge LIVE at Dragon Con 2018 showed up on the DragonCon schedule, we knew that it was something we had to cover.

What is the Creature Shop Challenge? Well Picture “Project Runway” but for Puppets and you get the gist. Amateur puppeteers competed for the opportunity to get their name known and possibly impress some of the judges.

Kim sat down with the organizers/originators/judges/legends to get the low down on what the competition was about.

Once Kim recovered from talking to such puppet royalty, she talked to the competitors. She talked to bartender/puppeteer Adam Kowalski from Asheville NC, Sylvie Kessler with her fabulous creation, Dr Kendall Bailey, Dan Ballard, Jordan Walraven. Listen in to see who won!
